The KITAP (Kartu Izin Tinggal Tetap) is Indonesia’s permanent residence permit for foreigners. It is ideal for those who want to stay long-term, work, invest, or bring their family to Indonesia. The KITAP is typically issued for 5 years.

PERMANENT STAY PERMIT (KITAP) – Requirements & Documents

1️⃣ Working KITAP

Requirements:

• Foreign nationals holding a valid KITAS for work (Employment KITAS)
• Minimum 1 year of work in Indonesia
• Sponsorship from an Indonesian company

Documents:

1. Valid passport (original + copy)
2. Current Employment KITAS and IMTA (original + copy)
3. Employer recommendation letter
4. Completed KITAP application form
5. Recent passport-sized photos
6. Police clearance certificate
7. Health certificate
8. Proof of residence in Indonesia
9. Any additional documents requested by the immigration office

2️⃣ Investor KITAP (Own PMA)

Requirements:

• Holder of a PMA company (foreign-owned investment company)
• Minimum 1-year investment in the company
• Valid KITAS for investment

Documents:

1. Valid passport (original + copy)
2. Current Investment KITAS (original + copy)
3. Company legal documents (Deed of Establishment, PMA license, etc.)
4. Completed KITAP application form
5. Recent passport-sized photos
6. Police clearance certificate
7. Health certificate
8. Proof of residence
9. Financial statements (if required)

3️⃣ Family KITAS

Requirements:

• Spouse or child of a KITAP/KITAS holder
• Dependent relationship documented

Documents:

1. Valid passport (original + copy) for spouse/child
2. Marriage certificate or birth certificate (legalized)
3. Parent or spouse’s KITAP/KITAS copy
4. Completed KITAP application form
5. Recent passport-sized photos
6. Police clearance certificate (if required)
7. Health certificate
8. Proof of residence in Indonesia

4️⃣ Retirement KITAP

Requirements:

• Aged 55 years or older
• Financial proof of pension/income
• Health insurance coverage in Indonesia
